In addition, Marathon is actively competing for additional New Venture opportunities in Indonesia, and is seeking a New Ventures Geoscientist to support that programme. New Ventures Geoscientist
Geology or Geophysics Masters Degree required with a minimum of 10 years experience in basin analysis supplemented by seismic interpretation skills, and established professional relationships within SE Asia Oil & Gas industry.
Successful candidate will analyze subsurface and commercial information to create new plays and prospects, and generate and execute commercial opportunities. Candidate will be responsible for developing a regional geologic and commercial framework, completing play and basin analysis, seismic interpretation and structure mapping, and resource and risk assessment. The position will Involve close teamwork with other geoscientists, engineers, business developers, and commercial negotiators.
